Founded in 2010, FRC Team 3205 Patriots is a student-run FIRST Robotics team at Concord Carlisle High School in Massachusetts that competes in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The CCHS Robotics club is a team that participates in the FRC Robotics league. During the competition season, we operate much like a sports team: for six weeks starting in early January, we meet daily to design, build, and test a robot to compete in league meets. In March, we participate in two separate competitions, each held over a period of three days. During the off-season, the club meets twice per week.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students and mentors work during a six-week period to build game-playing robots that weigh up to 125 pounds. Robots complete tasks such as scoring balls into goals, flying discs into goals, inner tubes onto racks, hanging on bars, and balancing robots on balance beams. The game changes yearly, keeping the excitement fresh and giving each team a more level playing field. Last year's competition was titled "FIRST Rapid React"
